I though Lambert’s Castle was just a pretty place where couples go to take amazing wedding pictures. Sike! We visited it with the Girls Scouts and to my surprise, what I found inside is a beautiful place full of history.
Some facts about the Castle:
Located in Passaic County, the castle was founded in 1892 by English businessman Catholina Lambert.
*In 1900, he opened the Castle and his art collection for public viewing every Saturday afternoon.
*Lambert’s son Walter sold the Castle and property to the City of Paterson in 1925 for $125,000.
*The Historical Society now holds social gatherings, craft shows, and fundraisers at the castle.
Don’t forget to stop by. They hold different activities that the whole family can enjoy.
