I can’t wait, It definitely will be a party to remember…
When I heard that Chef Marc Forgione and Chef Takashi Yagihashi where going to be part of the new opening of Macy’s Chef Street I got so excited; you know I’m a foodie at heart, and having the opportunity of meeting and interacting with two amazing chefs ( plus tasting their food!) is a dream come true.
Macy’s Chef Street is and array of pop-up restaurants located in the lower level of Macy’s. Its food court style of dining is a welcome lunch break surprise for anyone who works near-by. One of the perks of Chef Street is that it’s comprised of new concepts for food trucks owned by Macy’s Culinary Council Chefs Michelle Bernstein, Takashi Yagihashi, and Marc Forgione.
Meet the Chefs:
Chef Takashi Yagihashi opened his namesake restaurant in Chicago, Takashi, in December 2007 to immediate critical and consumer success. Both Esquire and Chicago magazines named Takashi a “Best New Restaurant” of 2008, and Takashi garnered a rating of 29 in Zagat, the highest food rating in Chicago. In 2010, Takashi earned a star rating from the Michelin Guide Chicago, one of only eighteen restaurants to do so.
Chef Marc Forgione is the chef/owner of restaurant Marc Forgione in New York City and American cut in New York City and at Revel in Atlantic City he is one of seven “Iron Chefs” competing on Food Network’s Iron Chefs America following his win on season 3 of the Next Iron Chef.
