Disclosure: I received a 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe loaner plus tickets to Six Flags Great Adventure for review purposes. All opinions and recipe for beef nachos are my own.
What does a recipe for nachos supreme and a road trip have in common? Nothing really, but I wanted to recreate a nachos recipes after a road trip that we recently took to Six Flags ( and a couple of other places) for our daughter’s birthday.
Let me tell you more.
You see, my family and I love road trips, and this year for mini-me’s birthday we decided to take a couple of days off from work to do some local traveling. We visited farms, a lake, the zoo and the last day we ended up the celebration at Six Flags Great Adventure.
Fortunately, we had the 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe for that week which made the trip so comfortable. Mini-me loved the Tahoe, she was able to relax and enjoy the stylish ride, while we felt confident a safe thanks to all the safety features like Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Foward Collision Alert that the Chevy Tahoe offers.
Take a look at this gorgeous car inside, so spacious and comfortable. My favorite feature is the Low-Speed Foward Automatic Breaking, this feature automatically applies the breaks to potentially help reduce the severity of the impact when traveling below 50 mph.
Cool right? Oh, we had such a great time!
Visiting the farms and the zoo was fun, but visiting Six Flags was amazing and we enjoyed it so much; We did some rides–I can’t believe mini-me did the Superman ride–play games and ate delicious food.
And Talking about food…What about an easy recipe for nachos?
While visiting Six Flags we ate some delicious nachos, so today, I’m recreating this fun and easy recipe!
- I lb of ground lean beef
- 1 packet mild taco seasoning
- Tortilla chips
- Toppings!
- Shredded lettuce (optional)
- Shredded cheddar cheese
- Jalapenos slices in vinegar (pickled jalapenos)
- Sour cream
- pico de gallo (diced tomatoes, onions, chopped cilantro and lime juice)
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the beef until well browned.
- Place the tortilla chips (as much as you want) in a large serving platter.
- Top with cooked beef and immediately add the cheese so it will melt with the heat.
- Add the rest pico de gallo salsa, pickled jalapenos, and sour cream.
- Enjoy while warm!
What a great week we had, and best part my daughter enjoyed her birthday the way she wanted–on the road.
