Who knew you could make fries out of yucca? And they are delish! The fries are made with the cassava root which is a plant native to South America.
The Yucca has become a well known vegetable here in the states, you can find it almost everywhere and people can prepare different recipes with it. A great way to prepare this starchy vegetable is boiled. We boil the Yucca and then we make a vinaigrette dressing with onions, olive oil and white vinegar to drizzle on top. We also like it fried; and I’m going to show you today how to make this scrumptious alternative to French fries.You have to peel and boil the yucca before frying.I like to cut the yucca and remove the inner core before frying it.
